You can find the #Amiga crowd on the WarpedNet: irc.warped.net port 6667.
The WarpedNet #Amiga channel contains a bunch of avid computer users who somehow relate to the Amiga computer. The channel focuses on discussion including, but certainly not limited to, the Amiga computer system. Other topics sometimes discussed on the channel are: military aircraft, politics, food, sleep, barnyard animals, Unix, cars, and Windows95/NT.
Although #Amiga caters to a wide range of interests, we are certainly not a "chat" channel. We do not greet everyone who enters the channel, and we certainly don't do age/gender checks every five minutes. We prefer to think of #Amiga as a "discussion" channel.
Undernet #Amiga was formed on March 10 1995, out of a need to get away from the netsplits and horrible users of EFNet. Unfortunately, in April 1996, Undernet became overloaded and began to fall apart, becoming almost worse than EFNet. We moved the channel to a small network called "InnerNet," but were chased away by a combination of lame IRC Operators and lame servers. So, we moved yet again, this time to "WarpedNet," a very small new IRC network.
We feel that we have created a comfortable, orderly, and interesting IRC channel. Enjoy it, but please learn the rules before you join. They are not all obvious.
We don't do Amiga tech support or help newbies unless we feel like it.
