SomeLondonISP WAN: The Conclusions

Reflections

Better communication between ourselves and Some Person in the very initial stages of the project and more communication though out the project may have allowed us to understand and determine the specific problem. This could have given us enough time to either get the information required to complete the task, or conclude that the task was impossible given the equipment available to us.

Successes

Our MRTG output for VLANs one, two and three is available on our co-located machine until we retrieve it from SomeLondonISP.

• This project was still an excellent learning experience!
• We are now very well versed when it comes to VLAN and ATM.
• Also we feel we have acquired an intimate knowledge of the Cisco VLAN/Switch MIBs.
• We have also become quite proficient with ucd-snmp and with MRTG.
