I make a batch of this granola every 2–3 weeks.
- 600g rolled oats
- 150g raw slivered almonds
- 100g raw sunflower seeds
- 100g raw pumpkin seeds
- 15g wheat germ
- 15g ground/cracked hemp seeds
- 15mL cinnamon
- 2.5mL salt
- 200mL honey
- 60mL canola oil
- 10mL vanilla extract
- about 500mL dried fruits
I mix and match the nuts and seeds with every batch. Sometimes I add cashews, sometimes I’m missing a seed and just leave it out.
As for fruits, I’ve tried everything. Raisins, dried cherries, dried blueberries, dried cranberries, cut up dried apricots, chopped candied ginger, dried pineapple, goji berries. Experiment!
- Mix all dry ingredients except fruit
- Add wet ingredients and fold until completely combined
- Spread evenly on 2 parchment-covered half-sheet pans
- Bake for 30–45 minutes at 275F or until golden, stirring and rotating pans every 10–15 minutes
- Allow to cool completely
- Gently fold in fruit
- Store in an airtight container, in the refrigerator
